The house is read through a perforated skin that mediates between the street and the rooms within. The screen filters the harsh light and the gaze of the road while letting air and a softened daylight through, so the interior stays cool, private and quietly lit through the day.
Within
Behind the screen the plan relaxes and opens up, drawing the filtered light deep into the living spaces and framing the garden. Threshold, shade and openness are held in balance, the guarded face to the street giving way to an easy, light-filled home.
